The Pixel 6a Is A Perfect Phone For Google Workspace.

Google Workspace is a productivity suite that includes Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Chat and Meet. Over 6 million businesses worldwide have replaced Microsoft Office with Google Workspace.

The primary benefit of using Google Workspace is your team can collaborate and work from everywhere. Using their laptop, tablet, or mobile phone. However, not all mobile phones are born equal, with phones ranging from under £100 to £2000.

Knowing which phone to get your team is tricky, with such a ginormous range available. You don't want to assign a dud phone to your team, making collaboration difficult and slow. Still, you also don't want to overkill by deploying the latest flagship mobile device.

The perfect phone for Google Workspace

Since its launch in 2020, the Pixel 4a has been our phone of choice for our team and clients. But getting hold of a 4a now is becoming more tricky. Thankfully in 2022, Google launched the new Google Pixel 6a, an excellent alternative at a very reasonable £399.

The Pixel 6a has received great reviews as a mid-range phone. And with Google pushing new features regularly, the phone will improve over time.

The 6a uses Google's own Tensor Chip, which means a lot of the data processing takes place on the phone rather than being sent to the cloud, which speeds up the process.

In addition, security has been boosted, and you can use the Pixel 6a as a security key for your Google Workspace account. Biometric security includes fingerprint unlock and a smart lock to unlock your Chromebook. The device will also get security updates directly from Google for the next three years.

As the Pixel 6a runs on Android (owned by Google), it naturally works the best with Google Workspace, allowing companies to control the device's data, apps and other features. For example, you may wish only to allow employees to install company-approved apps to prevent harmful apps from getting downloaded.

On an Android device, your team can use the Pixel 6a for both work and personal use - because the two types of data are separated (with work and personal profiles) and never meet with each other. And if the phone gets lost, it can be remotely wiped in minutes.

Your team also gets an excellent camera which takes advantage of Google AI to capture some incredible photos as a nice bonus.

Finally, all Pixel phones are part of Google's Android Enterprise Recommended programme - meaning the device got vetted by Google and meets their strict requirements for a smartphone to be considered safe for work environments.
