How do I install the Kimbley IT Support Software for macOS?
This guide will walk you through installing the Kimbley IT Remote Support software on your macOS computer. This software is primarily used to give us remote access to your computer so that we can help you when you need assistance and support.
Step-by-Step Guide
In the email you have received, click the link to download the software.
Once you click the link in the email, your web browser will open, and you should see a screen similar to the one below.
Click the download button in the top right corner to download the required folder to your macOS computer.
Once the folder is downloaded, you need to open it by double-clicking on the download. The folder will be named OSX_AGENT.
Once you have opened the folder, double-click install.pkg to start the installation. Follow the onscreen instructions and enter your computer password if requested to do so.
Once the software has been installed, close all the windows. On your desktop, you should see a permissions box appear. For each item listed (there should be three), click Request Permission, and in the following window that opens, toggle the permission to on.
Once you have granted all the permissions, the installation is complete. You may notice that some of the permissions still show the word "Denied." You can ignore this if you have toggled all the permissions on. You have successfully installed the Kimbley IT Support Agent. You can continue using your computer as you usually would.
