The Founder's Log - September 2021
That's it. September is over, and it was a pretty quiet month at Kimbley IT.
We did get a notification from Polestar and Citroen would deliver our EVs at the start of October. Kyle received his Citroen EC-C4 last week and my Polestar 2 is getting delivered this week. I'm thinking about doing a video series about using Android Automotive for work as the Polestar is the first car to have Google Android Automotive included.
New Podcast Episodes
We recorded two Kimbley IT Podcasts in September. In one episode, we discussed "Google's Mess of Messaging Apps" and hope for the future with Google Chat unifying messaging. In the next Podcast, "Download As," we discussed the best download settings for Google Chrome which a few subscribers disagreed with.
New YouTube Videos
Kyle has been on a burn with new YouTube videos as our YouTube channel grows week by week with new subscribers and record-breaking watch times.
September's Statistics
And finally, in the statistics for September, 65 subscribers got in contact with 46 (70.8%) requesting assistance (where they want to know how to do something better) and 19 (29.9%) asked for support (where something is not working as it should).
Within 5 minutes, 44 (67.7%) subscribers were back up and running, knowing how to do something better than before or with a problem fixed. For 18 people, it took 5 to 30 minutes. For two people, it took over 30 minutes, and one person's situation took more than one day to fix as the solution required third party support.
Sixty of the subscribers who got in contact use instant messaging, which is always the quickest way to get a response. Four subscribers opted to email, and one nutcase decided to contact through the phone - which we always make clear is always the slowest way to request support.
Overall, this month we believe 24 subscribers would not have needed to contact us if the businesses they worked for offered regular training sessions through our Learning Sessions by Kimbley IT service.
