How To Search Inside Google Chat

You and your team use Google Chat to communicate with each other from everywhere easily. Vital communications take place about you, your company and your clients, and sometimes you'll need to refer back to these conversations.

Find what you’re looking for

Google Chat has an inbuilt search bar where you type in a couple of keywords, and by default, the search will find those located within your past conversations from every chat space and individual talk you've held. Unless, of course, you have turned off chat history.

However, you can narrow your search results down by selecting the chat space or individual chat before your search and then clicking the small magnifying glass in the top right corner of this conversation. When you do, the search will be limited to the chat space or individual exchange you are currently viewing, making it easier to narrow down specific searches.

Are you struggling to communicate in your business?

With everyone working from everywhere they like, you might be finding it hard to keep in contact effectively and efficiently. Google Chat can help your company easily communicate and collaborate on work. Book a video call below to find out more.
