Google Task, a part of Google Workspace, offers a convenient way to store tasks you need to complete and not forget. You can access Google Tasks through the right sidebar in Gmail, Drive, and other Google Workspace apps. In Google Calendar, you can toggle between your Calendar and Tasks homepage to see all your tasks in one view. Additionally, you can download the Google Tasks app to your mobile device.

Until recently, accessing Google Tasks on your computer was not as straightforward as installing any other app. However, Google has made a significant update, allowing you to install Google Tasks on your desktop or laptop. The only requirement is that you have a modern web browser such as Chrome installed on your computer, as the web browser is used to run the app.

What do you need to do to install Google Tasks on your computer?

As mentioned, the Google Task app runs through your web browser. For simplicity, I assume you are using Google Chrome. It is, after all, the most popular web browser by a long way!

  • Head over to tasks.google.com

  • Once Google Tasks has loaded, click the install icon at the far right of the address bar.

  • Click Install to confirm you want to install Google Tasks.

  • Google Tasks will now be installed on your computer, and you should be able to pin the Google Task icon to your taskbar to access it easily.

How simple it was to install! Now, you can easily access Google Tasks in its own window whenever you want to set a new task or mark tasks as completed.
