How to export your data from Google using Google Takeout

With Google Workspace from Kimbley IT, your organisation has access to Google Takeout, a service that lets you keep ownership of your data, and export a copy of your data whenever you like.

With a few clicks, you can create an archive of that data to download in a usable format. Depending on the amount of data, it sometimes can take a few days for the downloadable archive to get built. 

Once more, you don't even need to let us know you're doing this; we make it so any client can walk away when they wish - you may want to check you're out of contract with us if you are planning to leave altogether, but you can always download your data. 

Other uses for Google Takeout

Google Takeout also becomes useful if you have an employee who leaves your business. You may wish to close their Google Workspace account but keep a copy of the emails contained within in an easily accessible format. 

Using Google Takeout, you can download all the users' emails in a viewable format if you ever need to refer to an old email. This archive can be stored in your Google Drive until a time it is required.
